SGL
SGL BSCP Broth (Buffered Sodium Chloride Peptone Broth) is a ready-to-use isotonic diluent used for dissolving, suspending and diluting samples during pharmaceutical and microbiological testing procedures. Designed to conform to harmonised pharmacopeial requirements, the medium helps maintain microorganism viability during sample preparation and microbial limit testing.
The combination of phosphate buffer, sodium chloride and peptone creates an isotonic environment that protects sensitive or stressed microorganisms from osmotic shock, improving recovery rates and helping ensure accurate test results. BSCP Broth is commonly used in pharmaceutical, cosmetic and quality control laboratories when preparing non-sterile products for microbiological examination and specified microorganism testing.
Supplied in convenient ready-to-use 90ml syrup bottles, the medium reduces preparation time and provides reliable, consistent performance across routine laboratory workflows.
